Inlaid Polychrome Repeat Hexagonal Tile

This elegant hexagonal tile will add sophistication to your interior flooring. Assembled with Black, White and Burnt orange Marble.

Each tile is handcut to create that nuance that only hand crafted work can create. Each Fleur de Lys motif is carefully cut out of black mable then inlaid into this 'dirty white' marble which has been chosen for its 'old look'.

The tiles are them ground and rubbed by hand creating gentle undulations on the surface for that beautiful 'feel' and play with the reflecting light.

These inlaid Fluer de Lys tiles are also available in various stone combinations. These inlays are inspired by the ancient skill of Pietre Dure where precious stones are inlaid to create floral and geometric patterns. This flooring is perfect for high end residential and commercial projects. Available in various colour combinations.

Decorative inlay is a technique whereby different materials, often contrasting are set into depressions in the substrate of the field material and then often ground flat.

The technique of inlay has been applied to wood (known often as marquetry), stone and marble (known often and Pietre Dure or Opus Sectile) and to Metal.

De Ferranti can inlay into most substrates, and is able to combine mother of pearl, bone and horn, metal, wood, glass, marble, stone and semi-precious and precious materials.
