De Ferranti was built on the idea that materials should be discovered with discernment, not selected by default. Ours is a world shaped by a collector’s eye - one that values rarity, surface, patina and the quiet authority of objects with a past.
Our collection brings together museum-quality materials chosen for their provenance, beauty and architectural relevance. From antique stone and time-worn timber to hand-finished ceramics, glass, metal and bespoke surfaces, each piece is selected not only for how it looks, but for what it carries - history, craft and a sense of place.
Our approach is informed by the spirit of the Grand Tour - a search for beauty, meaning and material intelligence across borders, periods and traditions. We do not follow fashion, nor do we believe in filling spaces for the sake of completion. We believe in choosing well, and in choosing less, but better.
That means working closely with architects, designers and private clients to assemble materials of lasting value - surfaces with depth, integrity and presence. It means respecting provenance, understanding craft, and recognising that the right material can give a space not only finish, but identity.
What we bring together is not defined by production, but by discovery.
Each material is selected for its origin, its integrity and the story it carries - whether reclaimed, crafted or commissioned. These are surfaces shaped by time, process and human hand, not uniformity.
To work with De Ferranti is not simply to specify materials, but to uncover them - to bring into a space something that already holds depth, presence and permanence.
