Lion Hunt Pebble Mosaic

These micro pebbles are all cut, shaped, polished and assembled by hand.

Original is housed at Pella (Macedonia, Greece). The technique is known as Opus Lapilli. Mosaic consisting of small pebbles. ca. 330-300 B.C. (Early Hellenistic Period)
